Chocolate chunk cookie

Everyone loves a cookie, especially when they are full of chocolate. These chocolate chunk cookies are huge and full of chocolate goodness. Gooey centers and huge chunks of chocolate make these the perfect treat.

When I make these I always struggle to get all the chocolate in the bowl because somehow it always ends up being eaten before hand.

The cookies don't last that long either.

Makes 12

 1 tsp baking powder
250g casting sugar
65g cocoa powder
2 eggs
225g butter
315g plain flour
150g milk chocolate
1. Preheat your oven to gas mark 4 (350F/180C) Make sure your eggs are at room temperature.
 2. Cream together your butter and sugar until smooth. Then add your eggs.

 3. Add your flour, baking powder, cocoa and sugar and mix together, it should form a dough. Cut up your chocolate and add to your mixture, make sure it is all combined.

 4. Roll into 12 balls and place on a baking tray. Flatten and place chocolate chunks on top. Make sure they are far apart as they will spread.

5. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes until they start to firm a little. Remove and leave to cool. They may still feel runny but they will harden.
