Marble whoppie pies

It's been a manic few months for me, my mood has been pretty low so I've been away from the kitchen for quite a while. However I'm currently off work as it's the Easter holiday so I finally got back in the kitchen. my housemates were out so I jammed up the music, put on my apron and got cooking. It's funny but once I was in the zone everything just came back to me naturally, my mind abuzz with new recipes and flavour combinations. Two hours later I stood back and saw my creation, marble whoppie pies. A chocolate and vanilla sponge, filled with a chocolate and vanilla buttercream, two classics in one.

PUMPKIN WHOOPIE PIES

It's Halloween! I love Halloween, it's an excuse to dress up, and this year I'm going as red riding hood.
Anyway the one thing that makes Halloween even better is pumpkins, in the UK it is really hard to come across pumpkin puree so cooking with them outside of October is a nightmare, so yesterday I went to Tesco and bought four... it may seem a little extreme but I just love pumpkin!

RED VELVET WHOOPIE PIES

I have a feeling that I may have become a little bit obsessed with Whoopie pies as they are all I think about and all I want to make. They are just so moist and tasty, I think I am in love. Anyway enough with the drooling over Whoopie pies, here is my red velvet Whoopie pie recipe with cream cheese filling. Yum enjoy!

CHOCOLATE ORANGE WHOOPIE PIES

So Halloween is almost upon us and I am soooo excited. I love halloween, it's scary, you get to dress up and it's ok to eat your weight in candy. At the moment I am in love with woopie pies, I found a recipe a few weeks ago and every since I can't help but come up with a load of my own. I know chocolate orange is more of a Christmas flavor and I should really have gone for more of a pumpkin whoopie pie but hopefully I will be making them next week with all my left over pumpkin puree from pumpkin carving.

So here is my recipe for chocolate orange whoopie pies, enjoy :)
